Intrepid Theatre is a non-profit organisation that develops work by talented emerging artists, 
presents alternative theatre from around the globe, and provides affordable venues for local performers. We believe live theatre should be affordable and accessible for all audiences, so we rely on donations and grants to keep ticket prices as low as possible. When Intrepid presents a local premiere or brings a touring show to Victoria, ticket sales for a sold-out show only cover about 50% of our cost of putting that show on.
The BC government has cut $61,000 of our funding for this year, placing our programming in jeopardy.
